BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — A sentencing hearing for a former high school girls' basketball coach who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting one of his players has been delayed.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports that Cyle Keith Kokot will be sentenced Aug. 24. His hearing, which was scheduled for Tuesday, was pushed back after his attorney asked the judge for more time to complete Kokot's sexual offender evaluation.

Kokot pleaded guilty in May to felony sexual assault. He was initially charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent last September after a girl who had played basketball at Lone Peak High School reported Kokot had raped her in January. A second girl said she had sex with Kokot several times between September 2013 and June 2014.

Kokot was the coach at Lone Peak High during the 2013-14 season.
