To encourage Missoulians to vote for their town in the final round of the Social Media Tourism Symposium, Mayor John Engen reveals that he has an uncanny ability to tweet..with his mind! Impressive! You can too, and in this video he shows you how.
Missoula has made it to the final round of the Social Media Tourism Symposium online challenge! And here is all the more reason to vote for our town one final time as our friends at the Liquid Planet coffee shop are offering a special deal
With a vote of 84%, Monte Bear sent the over-sized Syracuse orange mascot rolling back home with its vine tucked between its legs (orange's have legs?) and will move on to the next round in the March Mascot Madness contest.
I realize we have been a bit bracket crazy lately, but when we see our lovable Monte Bear in need of help in an online March Madness mascot duel, those of us with Montana pride can't help but rush to his aid.
I'm a huge fan of Seize the Deal. I can't tell you how many times I've personally purchased some fantastic local services from this site. One time I bought a house cleaning package for my wife, not only because it gave her a break from her weekly chores, but it also was a screaming deal. Far less than what I'd normally pay. Then there was the time that I bought a one-hour massage for half off for my mom. Something I know she needed because, well, she raised me. You can only imagine how much stress that entailed... And now, this Thursday, everything you could ever want is 60% off, no matter what it is! If it's at seizethedeal.com, it's 60% off.
The city of Missoula has the possibility of being the host of the Social Media Tourism Symposium - also known as SoMeT. Our thriving college town will go head-to-head against 12 other cities in the United States in a "social media battle of the ages."
Happy New Year! If you're one of the many people still looking for a great way to ring in the new year, there's a new party in town that's bound to impress. I'm talking about New Year's Eve Montana Style with Chicks N Chaps at the Hilton Garden Inn that kicks off tonight at 7 p.m.
An interesting species of dinosaur skeleton discovered in Montana has been named “Obamadon” because it had long, straight teeth like the President. Donald Trump immediately demanded to see the fossil’s birth certificate. Just kidding! No. But we are serious about the dinosaur part..
A candlelight vigil remembering the victims of Friday's shootings in Connecticut will be held at 4p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Rose Park in Missoula off of Brooks Street.
Event creator Kayla Kelly Somefeld decided to host the vigil event after hearing of the events in Newtown, Conn. where 28 people, including 20 children, were shot and killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
