A report released by Mothers Against Drunk Driving states that impaired-driving related deaths surge during the winter holiday season, with alcohol responsible for fifty two percent of fatal crashes on Christmas, and fifty seven percent on New Year’s — the average rate is just over forty percent throughout the year.
