The Missoula County Elections’ Office reminds voters that October 11 is the close of regular voter registration at the Missoula County Courthouse. Late voter registration will begin on October 12 at the County Fairgrounds in Building 15 . To prepare for the upcoming Municipal Mail Ballot Election, the Missoula County Elections’ Office will move to the Election Center in Building 15 on the Missoula County Fairgrounds on October 12. I spoke with Missoula County Elections Supervisor Vicki Zeier about the upcoming election. That interview is attached.

Missoula County currently has 18,842 inactive voters within the city limits. Voters are deemed inactive if they did not vote in 2010 or if the voters’ mail ballot in the May 3, 2011 election was returned to the Elections’ Office as undeliverable. Inactive voters will not receive the municipal mail ballot. Inactive voters are strongly encouraged to activate their registration to receive a ballot for the upcoming municipal election.
