The American Red Cross was busy over the weekend delivering clean-up supplies to Joliet and Lewistown for those needing aid in the flood recovery.

Red Cross volunteers delivered 75 clean-up and family kits in Lewistown on Saturday and another 175 were slated for distribution in Joliet on Sunday.

Clean-up kits include a mop, squeegee, bucket, all-purpose cleaner, bleach, gloves, sponges and rubber gloves. A family kit includes items such as trash bags, work gloves, flashlight with batteries, duct tape, dust masks, paper towels, rake and shovel, and bleach, packed inside a 48-gallon cooler.

Since flooding began, and recovery efforts commenced, nearly 1,400 cleanup and family kits have been distributed statewide.

In addition, 17,000 meals and 30,000 snacks have been served to those displaced and 84 Red Cross workers from Montana, and countrywide, remain to assist in the relief effort.
