An airplane has crashed this morning, June 2, in Yellowstone National Park, leaving one man severely injured.

The incident occurred just before 8:30 this morning. News of the crash reached park officials soon after impact when multiple visitors reported a plane crash just north of the Gardiner Cemetery and just south of Gardiner Airport.

The identity of the crash victim has not been released, but it has been reported that he was the pilot of an Aero Commander agricultural aircraft and that he is 54 years-old. He was rushNo passengers were on board.

The crash is still under investigation.
