29 year-old Jordan Scott Bahr appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Tuesday on a charge of sexual intercourse without consent.

Bahr was apprehended in Minnesota and extradited back to Missoula to face the charges. Deputy Missoula County Attorney Jennifer Clark described the circumstances surrounding the charges.

"Last October, Jane Doe was out with some friends, and one of those people was Jordan Bahr," Clark began. "The individuals had all been drinking. On the way home she had stopped at his house because she had had too much to drink to continue, and while she was at his house he raped her."

Missoula County Attorney Kirsten Pabst described how Bahr was apprehended in Minnesota.

“It's interesting how he got caught. He had asked his boss in Minnesota, where he worked, he was on campus there and asked for some time off and wouldn't explain to her why he wanted this extended time off and raised some red flags for her," Pabst said. "She Googled him and found out that he had the warrant for him and she turned him in. He was placed in custody.”

Chief Deputy Missoula County Attorney Jason Marks said Bahr appeared in Justice Court with his attorney.

“He appeared at liberty with his attorney after posting the $30,000 bond on the warrant,” Marks said. “He was seen by the judge who set conditions of release which includes that if he does return to his home in Minnesota, he will be required to have GPS monitoring.”

Marks said Bahr will have to appear in person in Missoula District Court at a date yet to be determined to face trial. If he is found guilty of felony sexual intercourse without consent, he could face up to 100 years in prison and up to a $50,000 fine.
