The last day to access Logan Pass from the east side will be this Sunday, but visitors have until October 19 to travel via the west side in Glacier National Park. Management Assistant Denise Germann has more:

"To allow for some of our accelerated fall season rehabilitation of the Going-to-the-Sun Road, the last day to access Logan Pass from the east side, will be this Sunday," Germann said. "Access from the west side to Logan Pass will be through Sunday, October 19, and that date is always weather permitting."

Germann wants to remind visitors that the park is open year-round.

"On the east side, vehicle access is only to the St. Mary Campground area," Germann said. "The rehabilitation activities are happening on the east side of the Going-to-the-Sun Road, so access for many of the hiking trails, including if it's an exit point for you as you're are hiking, are very limited. We really ask that you call us before departing for any trail activity on the east side."

For additional information, visit the park's website or call (406) 888-7800.
