The 11th  annual Medical History of the West Conference is set for April 18th  at Montana State University. Topics will include leprosy in a former Montana Legislator, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and rural surgery. The conference is a collaboration with the history and philosophy departments and the division of health sciences. Executive Director of Health Science at MSU ,Jane Shelby says this year they will be honoring the life and career of  Volney Steel as well.

 The conference is free and open to the public  and will be held in the Great Room of the MSU Foundation.
