BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Billings police are investigating a shooting that has injured a 5-year-old boy.

Two girls who were riding bikes in the area and a man with his dog found the boy Thursday evening near a dog park.

Police Sgt. Matt Brewer says investigators are looking for a 6-year-old boy who was seen leaving the area.

The Billings Gazette reports a small-caliber gun and ammunition were found at the scene.

Brewer tells KTVQ-TV in Billings that the injuries are to the lower part of the boy's body.
