For the 4th time, 40 Days for Life will begin a prayer vigil to end abortion on Wednesday, September 26th adjacent to the Blue Mountain Women's Clinic.

Vigil and prayer coordinator Diane Rotering says the peaceful, non-confrontational vigil is to end the practice of abortion and to pray for individuals who both patronize and work at the clinic.

Rotering says in some cases, clinic officials have paid others to protest those who are praying during the vigil, but that often vigil volunteers have been able to offer comfort and encouragement to people who pass by.

Rotering says there will be kick-off rally for the vigil on Sunday the 23rd at the 1st Lutheran Church on South Avenue across from Community Medical Center's emergency room entrance. Anyone interested in volunteering is invited to attend the rally.

A message was left for officials at the Blue Mountain Clinic to respond to this interview.
