The University of Montana soccer team placed three players on the 2011 All-Big Sky Conference first team the league office announced Monday.

Junior defender Lauren Costa, junior forward Erin Craig and sophomore midfielder India Watne all earned first-team honors for the first time in their careers. Craig and Watne were unanimous selections.

Junior midfielder Lauren McCreath and freshman midfielder Tyler Adair were named honorable mention.

Craig leads the Big Sky Conference in goals with 10, three more than any other league player. Watne leads in assists with eight, also three more than anyone else in the Big Sky.

Eleven of the Big Sky’s 14 first-team selections will be playing later this week at the Big Sky Conference tournament at Greeley, Colo.

No. 2 Portland State will meet No. 3 Weber State in one semifinal match Friday, and No. 1 Northern Colorado will host No. 4 Montana.
