A Montana Western college student and former Big Sky High School student was killed after a car accident west of Lincoln.

Officials said the accident happened on Montana Highway 141 between Helmville, and Montana Highway 200, at around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The Montana Highway Patrol said the driver drifted off the road and then over-corrected, but went across two lanes of traffic and into a burrow pit where the car then rolled several times.

The woman was not wearing a seatbelt. She was ejected from her vehicle and died on the scene.
