Missoula county authorities are attempting to track down a handgun that was taken from a vehicle outside of a Lolo home.

The incident occurred sometime between 11 p.m. last Friday, June 21, and 8 a.m. Saturday, June 22, on Excalibur way in Lolo. A Glock .45 was left sitting on the center console of a Chevy pickup and was taken. Whoever took the handgun may have been in a hurry as they left $24 in the glove box as well as a .22 rifle that was stored behind the seat.

The Glock .45 had a fully loaded 13 round clip and bears the serial number NYD855. So far, authorities have no witnesses or suspects in the case.

There has been a rash of vehicle theft cases in Lolo recently, with reports of stolen goods from Delarka and Saphire streets on the South side of Lolo and from Explorer and Excaliber way from the south-east side of the town. So far, there is no hard evidence linking the cases.

Any information from the public on this case would be much appreciated, just call Crime Stoppers at (406) 721-4444.
