Name of 13-Year-Old Fatality at Chief Looking Glass Crash Released [YouTube]

Update 9:00 a.m., April 17: The Missoula County Coroner has released the name of the 13-year-old victim of yesterday's crash as Bryce Jess Fitzgerald. The cause of death was reported as "blunt force injuries he sustained in the crash."

Reports of a deadly two vehicle crash between Lolo and Florence have been confirmed by the Missoula County Sheriff's Office, which is now reporting at least one death and multiple injuries.

A 13-year-old boy was confirmed dead at the scene, but no names have been released. The crash occurred after an Oldsmobile with three passengers tried to cross Highway 93 on Chief Looking Glass Road, but was struck by a southbound vehicle at around 7:50 a.m. this morning, April 16.

Three individuals were rushed to area hospitals for care and the Missoula County Sheriff's Office will conduct a coroner's investigation. Names of those involved in the tragedy are being withheld until family members can be notified.
