18 year-old Keanu Holman appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Tuesday afternoon charged with two counts of felony sexual intercourse without consent with a juvenile victim.

Deputy County Attorney Brian Lowney asked Judge Landee Holloway for $100,000 bail for the man who told the judge he was homeless.

“Primarily the reasons for asking for the $100,000 bail are Mr. Holman’s danger to the community and the danger that he will not reappear,” said Lowney. “This involved Mr. Holman actively seeking a juvenile female to have sexual intercourse with, and that sexual intercourse was non consensual beyond the fact that a female of that age is incapable of consent.”

Lowney said according to court documents and the police investigation that Holman was aware of the victim’s age.

“There’s no doubt that Mr. Holman was aware of the victim’s age and still sought this contact,” he said. “Additionally, because he has no address there is a concern that he might not reappear. If he does post bond, we request GPS monitoring and absolutely no contact with the victim or any witnesses.”

Holman’s Facebook profile states that he lives in Missoula and attended Frenchtown High School.

Judge Holloway agreed and set bail for Holman at $100,000. He will appear again later this month in justice court.
